Celebrating a Witching Wednesday

In 1993, Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski published the first installment of his widely acclaimed series entitled The Witcher. Since his first introduction to the world of The Witcher, which was through a short story that won third place in a contest, Sapkowski has experienced a plethora of success as his stories have sold over 30 million copies worldwide in a variety of languages.

The stories of The Witcher can be recognized by their concise prose, whimsical yet gritty settings, and enticing characters that straddle the line between good and evil, if those words mean anything at all.

Of course, Sapkowski's novels have since been adapted in many forms, perhaps most notably in a series of video games and a Netflix television series.

Today in the wardrobe, we discuss our thoughts on the first three novels, The Last Wish, Sword of Destiny, and Blood of Elves in conjunction with season one of the show.

So, take a listen, share your thoughts, and join the conversation as we take a journey into the world Sapkowski has built for us.
